Part is used for:
Ocular lense (Eye Piece) Magnifiys the image 10X
Body tube Maintains the correct distance between the eye piece and objective lens.
Revolving nosepiece Holds the objectives and can be turned to change the magnification objective lenses
Objectives lenes Magnification lenses - found in low powers to higher powers. Most often 10X , 40X etc
Arm Supports the body tube
Stage Area that supports a slide
Stage Clips Holds the slide in place for viewing
Diaphragm Controls the amount of light let through the stage and through the slide sample
Course Adjustment Knob Moves body tube or stage up or down for major adjustments
Fine Adjustment Knob Moves body tube or stage up or down very slightly for sharpening image
Light Source Provides the light to view slide. (hint - less is best)
Base Supports the microscope

Always use two hands to carry the microscope
